To start things off, we'd like to thank jcd69 who is a Volter here on our forum for his finds and tests related to this specific KB lights fix. So heres the fix I found and in 30 seconds my lights worked perfectly again. See it appears that when you download the lastest bios form asus they are missing a block that controls this. I found one that does and its ASUS's fault, it seems. But for those that had a motherboard change or a bad bios flash, that 'fix' wont work. This is fine for those that had a single installation failure. Even though it's for Windows 7, the one Darnassus posted above worked. I know it's the ATK Package, however you just posted the link I already provided above and that I cited as not having the driver I was looking for.

Yes quite a few specific drivers were required to run Windows 8. I now wonder if ASUS is going to add it to their driver downloads site for this model.

Now if it were XP or Vista, I could see it. However given Windows 7 was released in and Windows 8 only 3 years later, I don't expect there to be any issues. I realize Windows 7 was the original OS for my unit. Just an FYI, this is a clean and legit install of Windows 8. I heard it had to do with the ATK for some models, but haven't seen anything for this one. I can't seem to find a fix or a driver anywhere online. Before suggesting, yes I already checked ASUS's driver updates page for this model and all of my Windows updates have been installed.
